About me
Hi, my name is Eliza.
I graduated in Printed Textiles (Interior, Fashion, Art) of Heriot
Watt University - Scottish College of Textiles in 2006. I
have since freelanced, where I had to create commercial print designs
for fashion and other end uses utilizing Photoshop and Illustrator, and
translate trend information into my designs. I have also worked at
various print design studios in both Interior and Fashion during and
after university - all of which requires me to undertake
various responsibilities both in print and surface pattern design, also
involving an extensive use of CAD programmes, i.e. Adobe Illustrator,
Photoshop, In-Design.
I have previously worked for IKEA Edinburgh as a Visual Merchandiser
for two years. This position involves responsibilities such as
translating trend and various internal/external information, then
applying it to suit the store's display needs in a visually
commercial way; with a great deal of time and project management,
wide-skill based multitasking, team work, and utilizing CAD programmes,
i.e. AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, In-Design. Some of the
other responsibilities also requires me to be actively involved in a
lot of graphic-related tasks and liasing with other functions within
the store.
