About me

I have diverse academic background and a deep commitment to research. My current Post-Doctoral position at the University of Wales allowed me to further research in the field of Iconography in Byzantine Empire. The outcomes of the research were several lectures and public presentation in Oxford, Cambridge, and in the North of England.

I am currently working on creating an on-line module for Oxford Brookes University on Iconography, which gives me an on-the-job experience with IT teaching, research and administration. I am also delivering icon workshop at the University of Winchester as part of their MA programme, and leading an icon study course at St Seraphim Icon Study Centre in Great Walsingham. I would like to further my research in the interdisciplinary field of Art, History of Art and Religious Studies. I want to further my expertise in on-line module construction, as well as in producing academic publications and presentations.

During the last ten years in the UK I gained experience in working in higher adult education. The most useful was my participation in curriculum development and staff training at the Institute for Orthodox Christian Studies in Cambridge. The institute offers distance learning degree courses as well as research courses and PhD supervisions for adult students. My responsibilities at IOCS were working as a part of the team in on-line and on-site educational projects, communication and liaising with Administrative and Academic members of staff, liaising with Cambridge Colleges and Departments, Budget management, Finance Database, and Student communications and support.

I am comfortable with the idea of working flexible hours. I like to take the initiative as well as to work as part of the team. I have experience as a line manager in various educational projects that I organised in the past. These include Language Study Courses, Iconography and Art Courses in the UK and abroad. I was often involved in recruiting and training staff, in collaboration and management of other leaders, partners and fundraisers, developing curriculum, and organising teaching routine.
