Eleanor's work

About Eleanor

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am enclosing this covering letter with my CV as an application for the Account Executive role at Tag Worldwide.

In my current position as a Client Assistant at Posterscope, I spend much of my time focusing on what happens after the OOH media has booked. As a junior member of the team, it is my responsibility to ensure that the correct costings are applied on the plan for production and dispatch of the posters, and that this production is then booked and executed correctly, and the printed posters are delivered on time.

While such tasks may be considered mundane by more senior members of the team, I relish the opportunity to be a vital component of any successful OOH campaign. Without my diligent management of the relationships between media agency, creative agency, media owner and print house, the campaign would not go live. The thrill I get from seeing the campaigns I work on get posted without a hitch, despite all the missed deadlines or inclement weather or technical failures, has lead me to believe that project management is my calling.

My degree gave me excellent analytical and research skills and the ability to communicate my ideas clearly and concisely. Working simultaneously as both a supervisor and the marketing coordinator for a restaurant in Glasgow meant I developed a cool head under intense pressure and the ability to work as part of a team whilst developing leadership skills. The marketing aspect allowed me to exploit my creativity and constantly keep up to date with new innovations in the restaurant industry.

My career so far at Posterscope has whet my appetite for knowledge and personal development. Having been responsible for planning for Topman, Topshop, Ray Ban and Debenhams (amongst others), I was able to use my creative flair, love for fashion and methodical analytical skills to create, and manage, effective and exciting OOH campaigns. I would now like to take these characteristics to the next level, and the clients that Tag work with are amongst some of the most innovative advertisers around. Indeed, I have the advantage of already working on the OOH campaigns of several of Tag Worldwide's clients: Adidas, British Gas, Diageo, Pernod Ricard and Reebok, to name a few.

I am only at the beginning of my career, but am an eager and inspired individual, a hardworking team player and thirsty for the chance to prove myself. From working with the Comms Planners at Carat, and taking part in initiatives such as Media Circle and the IPA Foundation, I have become intrigued about other media, and would relish the opportunity to work in a role which allows me to experience the many diversities of the media and advertising industry. I believe that the Account Executive role at Tag will enable me to do this.

Yours sincerely,

Eleanor Mitchell
