Eldson Chagara is a freelance Video/Photo-journalist (Multimedia journalist) based in Malawi's commercial capital Blantyre, southern Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Media Studies (University of Malawi) and currently a Masters degree in Theatre and Media Communications in Development candidate (University of Malawi). He is an experienced One Man Crew. Eldson Chagara is multi-skilled and makes his living filming and documenting human interest stories through the camera lens. He comes from a broadcast media background. He shoots (both Video and Still) reports, scripts, edits and narrates news story assignments, features and documentaries. He has worked with various international media and humanitarian institutions. They include BBC, Reuters, AFP, Etv, VOA, AP, F24, UNICEF, WFP, World Vision, UNV, UNAIDS, WHO, UNDP, PLAN International, Save the Children and many more. He is flexible and professional. He has a complete video/photographic gear that enables him to go and cover any news video or photographic event, feature or documentary anywhere. Eldson uses Adobe Lightroom Classic and Capture One photo editing softwares for all digital photographic projects. And for video projects, he edits using DaVinci Resolve and Hitfilm Pro software applications. Currently, Eldson Chagara has a Panasonic HC X2000, Panasonic Lumix GH5 and GH5s for video shooting and Panasonic G9 and Canon 6D Mark II for photography projects.
