About me
I am a creative and innovative designer, looking for a graduate role where I can apply my knowledge and gain further experience in this field. With a keen eye for detail, I enjoy finding solutions to design problems and endeavour to create products that exceed client needs.
My graphics work demonstrates versatility with the Adobe creative suite programmes. I have excellent CAD skills using Solidworks and Rhino, with a good knowledge of using 3DS Max and Auto CAD through my work placements and independent research.
In my final year of Uni I ran my own "Design Surgery", which included assisting lectures in Solidworks tutorials, designing posters for the student union, designing packaging for pharmacy students and holding my own sessions in my spare time to assistant architect student to increase the CAD skills.
Passionate about old, current and new technology, home and mobile entrainment systems, PC modding and the gaming industry. My curiosity for how things work have pushed me to become the intuitive designer applying my problem solving skills to overcome obstacles achieving my goals. Genuine interest in technology means that I read and continuously study widely about new developments in materials, processes and ICT advancements.
My communications skills are strong as a result of group-work and large presentations undertaken at university and at Smith's Medical where I pitched products on a regular basis. Having showcased designs at exhibitions, I can convey information to engage clients with a sincere enthusiasm.
I am very competitive and dedicated; this is demonstrated in my other activity as a athlete in athletics, where I train 6 days a week to compete in the British League as a sprinter representing my club, county and hopefully my country one day.
However very open minded, good with people and enjoy socialising. Making me a great in team working environment, being able to work closely with my colleges and following orders.
My overall career goal is to become a expert in one of my many fields of interest and to one day take a leadership role.
