About me

I am a highly creative, experienced writer, PR professional, copy writer and social media manager.

In my early 20s, I co-wrote a book on the emerging green movement which was published by The Big Issue, Gathering Force, which was timely and well received. From writing Gathering Force I went onto work as a content writer for Channel 4 websites and their adult and child education divisions creating copy for the online offering supporting TV programmes and their commercial products used in schools. Working at BskyB, I regularly wrote advertorials, devised marketing campaigns and created social media content for the company's Corporate Social Responsibility department.

I have worked as a journalist providing daily copy for the online national green news website GreenWise Business (now offline). For GreenWise I produced daily interviews and articles on highly technical and policy based green industry news along with interviews and case studies on entrepreneurs and pioneers in the environmental world.

Working at Breathworks Mindfulness, internationally renowned organisation specialising in mindfulness for pain management, was also a great opportunity to advance my writing skills. On a weekly basis I was writing and ghost writing articles for academic titles such as Nursing Times and the BPS, the British Psychological Society's magazine to consumer media, for example, The Huffington Post and Psychology Today. I also had strategic input, as well as, writing the content for the Breathworks website.

I also write creatively and have had a play performed at Manchester's fringe festival, a short film made and produced, both pieces of work won awards. I also enjoy writing poetry.
