Dear Sir,
I would very much like to apply for the position of Freelance Production Assistant, as advertised on the Creativepool website, and I attach my current CV for your consideration. I recently took a sabbatical to pursue some personal interests so I am available for an immediate start.
I have spent most of my career working in the design & print industry. I began working as an Illustrator, producing artwork for packaging and point-of-sale, and then progressed into graphic design where I produced wide-ranging creative concepts for sales and marketing literature, presentations, media advertising and exhibitions using both Macintosh and PC platforms.
As a Studio Manager I dealt with a wide range of clients, from small one-man businesses to international companies, providing them with a complete in-house production service, a high quality digital print and finishing facility and large format graphics for exhibition. More recently I have worked in facilities management, providing blue-chip clients in the finance sector with a complete on-site digital print service.
I work regularly with Adobe Creative Suite and Quark XPress as well as Microsoft Office for administration and workflow.
I have an in-depth knowledge of print production procedures, I have dealt with clients at the highest levels in deadline-driven environments and I have an innate ability to visualise an entire job from concept through to final execution.
