About me
Edwin Miles is a recipient of a First Class BA Honours Degree in Film Studies at Falmouth University. Currently reading for an MA in Film and Television at the University of Bristol. He is a published journalist, journalism editor, and varied filmmaker. Edwin has had experience with camerawork, editing, sound recording, and directing having been involved in various documentary, experimental, and narrative film projects.
Edwin Miles has interviewed filmmakers Jamie Adams (director of Songbird and Black Mountain Poets), the Blaine brothers (directors of Nina Forever), and Alex Crowton (co-director of The Sad & Beautiful World of Sparklehorse) - all established, independent filmmakers with great advice on how to break into the industry. These journalism projects have enabled for him to learn from key industry professionals.
