Re: Videographer and Photography Editor

Dear Sir or Madam

I would like to apply for the role as I am very eager to expand my skills in video and still photography in addition to editing, having edited many short films during my Media Production degree. My work experience includes editing educational podcasts for The Faculties.org using Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5. An example of which can be viewed below. I am able to edit quickly and efficiently whilst maintaining a constant sense of creativity and the passion to tell a story, a must in relation to promoting and selling a product.

As part of my own projects, I am actively using the Canon EOS 550D DSLR camera as a way of looking for new and thrilling ways to expand my video portfolio, including a music video which was created for Northern Film and Media's Sound/Vision 35/45 competition (the video can be viewed at the link below).

Other experience includes creating animated logos for Digital Voice, a Gateshead based charitable media organisation as well as Fantomeline Post Production. Recently I have contributed water themed montages for The Newcastle Royal Grammar School's performance of Handel's Water Music.

This vacancy in particular looks like the perfect opportunity to employ and enhance these skills. I am very technically intuitive and able to work across most editing platforms, including Avid and Final Cut Pro. Although I am currently based in Northumberland, I have contacts around London and would be able to relocate if selected for the position.
