About me

To whom it may concern,

I'm a recent graduate of Winchester University in Digital Media Design, and I'm looking to design websites and apps, and then possibly looking to go on to snowboarding print design. I've been in similar companies to yours doing design work as shown in my portfolio. That work was done at a company called Remarkable. For my work experience with that company, I had to create wire frames for a new intranet; their old one was way too busy and overloaded the user with information as soon as he or she logged on. I decided to use whitespace on the new design so that it looks more presentable and easier to look at. I decided that widgets would be a good idea because the user could customise the information they wanted to see using the drop down arrow shown in four of the examples. I tried to make the child pages easier to look at as well; breaking up the design with images instead of having the text cover the whole page. The final page I designed for Remarkable was inspired by the clothing company Diesel. Their website had a section with 4 images which represented male, female and children's clothing; they had one photo at forty-five degrees, and the other three at ninety degrees adjacent to it. When the user clicked on an image; the page loaded by spiralling so that the picture was the right way up, and then moving to the top left of the window. Unfortunately, this design is unavailable at the moment because they've updated their website. I have a British National Certificate in photography; I am also using Adobe software such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
