Dear Sir/Madam

I wish to further my graphic design skills, as it is a simulating subject, which enables me to express my creative side and help me contribute to shaping society's visual landscape.

By applying for this Creative Designer role, I can work to create exciting innovative work to deliver memorable visual messages through all media. I am able to show my flare for creativity whilst using my skills in an imaginative approach to produce inventive pieces of work expressing my own style or following corporate guidelines.

I have over twelve years' experience as a Graphic Designer, working across the entire marketing spectrum on projects such as brochures, flyers, signage, exhibition graphics, email campaigns and maintaining corporate branding to a worldwide audience.

My technical skills are vast and I am fully literate in the latest Adobe Creative Suite (CS5.5) software, Mac OSX Snow Leopard (v10.6.8), Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash and QuarkXPress. I always have a strong desire to improve myself by learning new skills and applications. More recently, I am interested in Adobe Photoshop CS6 Beta and Adobe Edge preview 5.1.

Everyday I am faced with many different challenges and tasks, which I try my hardest to overcome. I achieve this through good management practice and placing jobs in a task base format and deadline specific schedule. In the past I have worked from a job bag recording system right through to online monitoring task structure.

I provide efficient and expert advice to colleagues on a day-to-day basis. I support Senior Managers and since being in the role, I have taken on more responsibilities from assisting the company in finding more cost effective and reliable printers to help keep printing costs down. I have also made various efforts in creating new marketing material to promote the company in a more quick and efficient manner thorough email shots and interactive PDF promotions. Furthermore, I assist the company with promotions for overseas markets by translating corporate literature.

One of my many goals was producing the company's first Encyclopedia. A 344-page document designed and produced within a very short time period of three months. Since then I have gone on to produce an updated version, which has also undergone a rebrand and was required in two different languages. An additional four versions were produced.

I am now looking for the next step in my career. I want to build on my extensive range of technical skills within a role that can allow me to use the knowledge I already have and will challenge me to learn even more.
