About me

I am a human-centered and outcomes driven designer with an honours degree in Information Design. My passion is visual communication. My experience spans a range of design disciplines from high-end print to web, e-learning and the UX and UI design of mobile apps and all manner of digital interfaces.
My working style

I am highly collaborative and enjoy working with stakeholders to explore problem spaces, define problem statements and solution hypotheses. My divergent thinking phase includes product discovery and jobs to be done workshops, sketching and storyboarding (I am a competent illustrator), lo-fi prototyping and early user validation. I do high fidelity design in Figma (but can also use other tools like Penpot and Adobe XD).
I am a modernist - form follows function - and I leverage proven methodologies, best practice and a highly developed conceptual ability to solve user problems. I believe a user interface is a conversation between a human and a business/system and I craft that conversation to be easy and flowing. I am excited about emerging fields like AI and voice. I love typography and all forms of visual communication (including the visual and performing arts) and I am happiest when working on something meaningful and helping to achieve social impact.
My management style

I love working as part of a dynamic team with other passionate people. I am comfortable in a mentorship role, have a lot of patience and know how to get the best out of a fellow creative/team of creatives. I love leading a team towards a strategic vision.
