About me

I worked as a Desktop publisher, using various applications such as: Quark Express, Pre-flight pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, arranging Medical Journals for print, designing layouts and covers for a new magazine coming out in 2006. I learnt how to apply basic knowledge and skills to the work given. I also had to respond to clients requests. I.e. directing the Design at specific target audiences. I am able to work effectively within a team, and on my own, understanding the relationship between work processes and the company as a whole. Quality and accuracy at Rila Publications was a factor which could not be overlooked, and my portfolio work illustrates this.

My biggest achievement to date would be, when I completed my HND course at South Bank University with Merit/ Full Marks. Also, whilst studying Graphic Design at college, I had the opportunity to design the Student Planner/ Diary. This was a great achievement because I was able to promote the College effectively through my own creative ideas, whilst complying with the guidelines of the brief. This enhanced my ability to solve problems, and make final decisions. I am familiar with working towards strict deadlines, which is a common occurrence when working in the field of freelance design.

I aim to give 100% in any given work situation, concentrating on the task in hand, to avoid any distractions or errors. I set my self targets and apply myself effectively. It is important to focus, be attentive and concentrate in order to achieve my full potential at all times.
