About me
I am a 17 year old student from the United Kingdom, mainly on this site to make contacts in the correct industry. I'm studying A Levels currently and plan to go to University in order to gain an Illustration degree. During the time I am not studying I like to research into this business, contacting agencies and meeting the right people. To gain experience in working with people, I am willing to work for free of charge, for more information on this please feel free to contact me for arrangements and specifics.
I am aware my age is seen as somewhat inappropriate and premature. However, I aim to gain crucial information about this industry through browsing sites such as Creativepool. I'm always searching on job sites just to see what is in my local area and how media jobs are circulating even though I am too inexperienced and, so far, uneducated to go for them. I'm in my last year of 6th Form and will be moving onto college within the next year to build a portfolio. After completing my foundation course, (which is required for the degree), I will be applying to Universities to hopefully pursue Illustration.
During my time at University I plan to search for a student pursuing Creative Writing and become partners, drafting and completing an Illustrated childrens book. For the past three years I have also been working on independent projects similar, writing and illustrating original characters for a crime fiction series. Apart from writing in my spare time, I also paint, draw and experiment with all different medias.
When I'm not studying I am close to any other teenage girl, socialising with friends, visiting new places when possible, anything to feed my creativity. I read autobiographies, books on Art History and enjoy researching into different artists and their work. I write ideas for fictional stories often, or introductory/descriptive short pieces. I'm a very curious person, which has been vital to my passion for art. I adore any Vintage imagery and enjoy surrealism, space interests and inspires me. Other things I find interesting are demonology, mythology, history, English language/literature, photography, expressionism and visual communication. I enjoy listening to film scores/instrumental music when creating drawings or paintings.

Work Experience, - Large company Waverley Brownall, This is a manufacturing company who supplies stainless steel high-pressure compression fittings, valves, and bespoke instrumentation products. While working for this company I gained experience in dealing with invoices, filing, postage and general office duties., -Local printing company Acorn Printers, Gave me experience in general office duties and creative freedom designing flyers for customers, (posters and other advertisement) and logos., Volunteering, - Volunteered during a Summer break to help clean up the local community as part of a local scheme to involve young students. Included graffiti clean up, litter picking, organising teams and repainting park apparatus.
