ABOUT
By 2020, COVID-19 has become a major health problem all around the world.
In most countries, hospitals are overwhelmed by the volume of patients and the lack of personal protective equipment(PPE) including face masks, gloves, eye protection and clothing.
The most significant issue during this COVID-19 battle is no sufficient PPE for hospital workers on the front lines, due to the high demand and general disruptions to the global supply chain.
Protection of healthcare workers is a significant issue, during the treatment of COVID-19 patients, as their risk of being exposed to disease is too high.
As a solution , efforts have been taken to produce new face masks, with high filtering properties using 3D printers as can be custom-made, using face scanning programs.
