Dear Sir/Madam:
I have recently graduate from the University of Worcester and the skills, Knowledge and experience that I have gained as a result of attending University. I studied a BA in Media and Cultural Studies , graduating 2015 with a 2:2. And I believe that this course fits well into a media based role because I covered modules which included; Radio Times, TV, Green Media, Researching Media, New Media, Crime and the Media (Newspapers), Film Language & Film Representation, Gender and Popular Fiction (Books), Popular Culture and I also completed a dissertation focusing on race and film, which gives me a good knowledge of the media.
You will see in my enclosed CV that I have gained a wide variety of both transferable and also specific skills, with relate to working in the media industry.
My interest in the media: I have a huge enjoyment and critical interest in the media (film, music, television, radio and new media) which only increased throughout my degree, and is only going to continue to grow.
Computer Skills: Also during University I also expanded my confidence and also knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Internet Explorer, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook Express. I also actively enjoy researching and searching the internet and have a understanding of HTML. I also have good understanding of Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator and basic understanding of After Effects and Maya.
I am now looking to secure a challenging and rewarding role and I believe that these skills, paired with the knowledge I have, would make me an asset within your organisation. I am available to start working immediately and I very much look forward to hearing from you in the near future
