About me

I am Domenico Montaruli. Currently I'm an registered Architect at the Order of Architects in Italy (Registered Architect at "Ordine degli Architetti, Pianificatori, Paesaggisti e Conservatori di Bari. Sezione A." Registration number: 3371. P.I.: ) and I'd like to register at the ARB, I'm already providing to validate my italian registration.

I live in London since December 2014 because of an internship at Orproject , an architecture and design practice based in London. I worked in this office from December 2014 to 22nd of May. During my internship I worked on different projects: my first work was the Afghan Pavilion for EXPO 2015: my boss asked us some proposals for a parametric shape and my proposal won. Thus I worked on the project as Project Architect. I drew the plans, the sections, the 3d model and the details sheets. From concept to details.

My last work at Orproject was the Afghan Office Buildings: 1st Concept. It's a work in progress. I drew the masterplan, sections and the 3D model.

I also worked on dwell projects, their 3d models and rendering.

I've just finished an architecture competition (MESC @Ibiza arquideas), the result will be announced on July 31st, 2015.

My previous employ was at an Architectural Practice in Giovinazzo, Italy. I worked for 10 month, after graduation, on residential projects, doing survey, drawing plans, sections, facade, 3D models and organize data. From concept to details.

I graduated in January 2014. My thesis was Social Housing. A complex buildings made with a particular wood- concrete building system: a constructive system created to realize high-performance houses and buildings by using modular panels which are assembled dry, quickly and with a low and controlled cost.

During my studies I worked as Intern at the same Architectural Practice in Giovinazzo, Italy. I worked on dwellings projects, particularly I worked on a residential building from site supervision to completion. I helped to make plans, sections and 3D model.

I took part in a design contest in 2011 and now I'm working to another Architecture competition with my colleagues. I am an ambitious and creative architect, with a passion for design, and I am a good team player. My attention to detail ensure that every project I work on is done accurately.

I am able to take initiative and transform problems into solutions. I have a desire to bring innovation to design and the design process.

I'd like to increase my skills and my experience. I am comfortable working as part of a team but also have the ability to take an authoritative role when the situation arises.
