About me

Hello, my name is Douglas Kozonoe .a. dogura.

I'm currently working as Chief Creative Officer at MRM Brazil / McCann Worldgroup.

In my first year as CCO of MRM Brazil, I ranked the agency among the Top 10 most creative in Brazil according to the Cannes Lions ranking and Top 20 in Latin America.

I have more than 25 years' experience in digital advertising and during my career I have won several awards, including: Cannes Lions (Brazil's first Gold Lion in Creative Commerce), One Show, D&AD, London International Awards, Clio Awards, New York Festival, Effie, JayChiat and all the Latin American awards. In total, I've won more than 50 advertising awards.

I have served as a juror for the Effie Awards in 2022, 2023, and 2024, as well as for the Effie Awards Latam, the El Ojo Festival, and the Brazilian Creative Club festival, among other regional advertising festivals.

I hold a degree in Musical Arts with a focus on electric bass from the Villa Lobos Conservatory, a degree in Design from Mackenzie University, and a postgraduate degree in Communication, Art, and Technology from Belas Artes university in São Paulo.

Fun fact: My grandparents couldn't pronounce my name because of their Japanese accent, so they used to call me "dogura".
