About me

I have been working as a Graphic Designer/Artworker for eleven years, of which nearly seven years is with my present employer. Print Express is a privately owned printer offering single and two colour lithographic print plus digital services. To diversify into a broader market this company teamed up with the franchise 'printing.com' over ten years ago. This enabled the company to offer low cost full colour print for a wide range of products.

My current role as a Senior Designer also involves being an Accounts Executive. I personally take the initial brief from the client advising on the products best suiting their needs and possible ideas for layout. Design or amendments to artwork is carried out according to the instructions provided through to final approval. The order process including payment and invoicing is also part of my everyday tasks.

Throughout my working career I have designed for various products, such as corporate stationery, promotional literature, brochures, catalogues and video/DVD covers. The main software I currently use are Adobe Creative Suite CS5 (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat). I also have knowledge of are Quark Xpress 6.5, Freehand MX, Microsoft Office.

My career aim is to gain more experience and knowledge within print design. I do believe this position as a Creative Artworker would allow me to continue in developing new skills and to assume a greater level of responsibility.
