About me

Hi, I'm Stuart, a creative freelancer from Glasgow, Scotland. I'm a versatile freelance graphic designer with over ten years of industry experience in art direction, branding, illustration, print/editorial, packaging design and leading a team of other designers.

I'm passionate about creating strong, concept-based visuals, and incorporating illustration into brand identity.

Since going solo as a freelancer, I have worked with several start-ups on creating their brand identities and with established companies and agencies like Twig Education and Media Zoo.

The ten years previous I led the graphic design team at Premier Housewares and was the lead graphic designer at community arts charity, Impact Arts. Both of these roles involved regular development of new brand identities, whether it be a project, service or retail brand. From working as an in-house designer, I learned a lot about brand architecture and the needs the wider company usually has from branding resources. I would also be collaborating with many other creative disciplines on a daily basis, from photographers and filmmakers to writers and performers.
