About me

I read with interest your advertisement for the position of Designer. I am 27 years of age and am currently looking to further my career within the design industry. I am an energetic and passionate designer interested in working my way up to senior level.

After university I successfully gained a position as a Design Assistant for TP Toys based in Worcestershire, who are a manufacturer of children's toy and games. I worked my way up to the position of Junior Designer and developed a large part of there current toy and garden games ranges that can be viewed in the current Argos catalogue, Toys r Us, ELC and John Lewis outlets.

My last position of full time employment was for Be Modern, designer and manufacture of bathroom and fireplace surrounds. I was employed as Design Manager but after my 12 months of contract I realised that my heart and passion was focused more towards hands on design and development. I have developed specific interests in other areas of Product, Graphics and Packaging Design and I now wish to progress into a more exciting and dynamic design role more suited to my core skills.

Working within these commercial markets I have been personally responsible for, and completed design work for blue chip companies such as B+Q, ELC, Toys R Us, Argos, Wicks, Plumb Shop, George Wimpy and Barrots.

More recently I have completed a small number of freelance projects for various small local businesses listed on my attached CV.
