About me

Dean Mortensen had enjoyed 30+ years as an art-based creative in the Australian advertising industry, when in 2016 he decided to start up his own business - ScenesByDean - drawing on his extensive experience and understanding of advertising and the media, delivering storyboards and concept illustrations for the Advertising and Film industries.

Since then he has supplied storyboards and concept illustrations for most of the top agency groups in Australia, as well as commercial directors and feature films including the upcoming Netflix series Pieces Of Her starring Toni Colette.

For his advertising work he has been awarded 2 Gold and 2 Bronze Cannes Lions, he has won in London International shows, New York Festivals, The One Show, and in 2015 was shortlisted for illustration in D&AD.
