Team management

I manage a team of five designers and a video producer. The team produces all collateral and creative output for 40 offices nationally, along with creating all the digital content (Video, social media and web assets).

Responsibilities include:

Managing and growing the design team, along with managing design agencies, printers and other suppliers .

Implementing design strategy and new work flow tools and brand identity for RSM UK.

Taking all briefs, scheduling and quality review of all the design output, work-flow, budgets, team meetings, interviewing, appraisals, and objectives each quarter.

I attend meetings with a variety of senior members of the firm, from partner to stakeholders, and I have excellent communications skills and I can adapt to any situation that should arise.

Brand and design

I lead the creative direction of the brand with hands-on design and mentoring of the design team. This includes:

Pushing the RSM brand to get the maximum creativity out of it and working closely with the Global Brand Manager to edit and streamline the RSM brand guidelines.

Recently I have been tasked with working with the Global Brand Manager on a project called 'Global Brand Evolution'. This entails working with the US and Australia firms to develop the Global brand guidelines and creatives. I have bi-monthly conference calls with the US CMO, the two other firms, and the Global Partners Network (GPN) to present my ideas to gain buy in to the creatives, which will then be rolled out globally.

The development of creative elements for the brand, designing the look and feel for resources, such as templates, brand training, and rolling out these updates and templates globally.

Brand and design control for all RSM UK output.

Presenting design and brand updates to teams around the UK, along with presenting the brand at the national induction seminars to all new members of staff on a monthly basis.

Design work includes bespoke proposals, IMs, brochures, templates, design for web, pushing the brand identity and identifying other possible design avenues. Producing digital design which includes animated videos, web based proposal documents and interactive online documents.

Summary

I feel I manage this team to a high-standard as I have great organisation skills to keep track of large volumes of workloads with tight schedules, plus managing a team and my own design projects, simultaneously. I pride myself on being able to multi-task successfully and hit all deadlines that are required in an extremely environment.
