About me
David August is an award-winning actor, producer and director. He was just nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the 48hfp in LA, the film winning Best Acting Ensemble and receiving 8 other nominations. He recently won an award for 127 Seconds (stars in, wrote and produced) at a fest in NYC, adding to awards and commendations won around the world.
He performs in the feature Dependent's Day, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC), on the show "Ghost Town," and on both the History Channel and A&E. On stage he's worked with Second City, Chicago Shakespeare and many others.
He performed in his scripts Bring the Funny and Corporate Dialects, produced at YouTube Space LA, and co-wrote the short horror/thriller script Room 313, bought by Try Film Productions and now in post. Off screen, he's worked as a Social Networking Guru and Production Finance Executive at ad agencies, production companies and major studios. He coaches actors and guest lectured to MBA graduate students at USC.
