About me
David Toms is a Writer and Director from Birmingham, UK, with a passion for creating stories. For several years, he has worked to hone his craft within short film.
In the last year, he has written and directed his most ambitious film yet, After - which has already received two festival selections and is awaiting more decisions.
David's short films have received multiple international festival nominations over the years and gained support from The Kevin Spacey Foundation.
Outside of narrative, David has worked in the corporate video industry as a camera operator and editor for several years, alongside writing and directing his own projects. In early 2016, David worked as a self-shooting director to film the first quadcopter to cross the English Channel. The footage was shown on The Discovery Channel and BBC Newsround as well as clocking up tens of thousands of views online.
