About me
II am looking for an exciting position as a Junior Graphic Designer within a lively creative environment, in the South Wales area. I would like to be part of a design team to strengthen my existing skills and learn new ones.
I have a 2.1 BA (Hons) Degree in Graphic Design from the University of Glamorgan. South Wales. My Stand rate is £6.50 to £7.50 an hour.
When designing I feel it is important to listen and communicate effectively. Furthermore patience and a good sense of humour are also essential attributes to producing quality designs. I have designed posters, logos and packaging, examples of which are in my portfolio.

I am competent and confident in the following design programmes (PC + MAC) Photoshop CS2, Illustrator CS2, InDesign CS2., -I am skilled at evaluating and resolving problems creatively, -I communicate effectively with a wide range of people, -I am able to work to deadlines, - Pay attention to detail when finishing the design work, - I continue to improve my graphic design knowledge and skills by subscribing to an on-line video training library which has assisted me in my graphic design projects.

Name of Organization: Media 4 Creative, Date Started: 10th August 2008, Date Finished: 19th September 2008, In order to produce the above:, - I consulted with the company in regards to aims, objectives and presentation,, - Formulated layout and design concepts, - Produced and arranged suitable material for design work, - Prepared layout for printing, During my time at Media 4 Creative I undertook various projects including the redesign of the companies business cards and a promotional poster. I also produced graphic designs which were incorporated into an educational pack these included name badges and book cover., Name of Organization: Edusen, Date Started: 29th June 2009, Date Finished: 5th July 2009, During my time at Edusen I designed and produced various size posters, an 8 ft by 6ft background for the exhibition and a leaflet. These promotional items will be used in an educational exhibition in America., Name of Organization: Charles Insurance, Date Started: 16th November 2009, Date Finished: 26th November 2009, I was commissioned to design a company Christmas card for Charles Insurance. In the first meeting ideas were discussed and initial designs were produced. Consequent meetings led to adjustments and the final design, which was approved and printed. This design was created from hand drawn sketches which were developed and enhanced further using illustrator CS2. Prior to printing final adjustments were made to assist in the printing process. I have had repeat illustration work from this company and have produced two more Christmas cards for 2010 and 2011.
