About me
Meet David,
a creative child, whether coloring in his mum's cheque book or crayoning the passage walls, from an early age he was able to bring his ideas to life (on paper or walls). As a teen he collected & painted model figures winning him few dates, so he left school with one finger up his nose and a drawing pad under arm & he just got taller. After all, the creative adult is the child who survived.
At art college, David traded his paintbrush for a mouse. This was to be the first step in developing his skills for a career in the creative industry. His first big break came following his work was published in Computer Arts Magazine's Graduate Showcase '05. Bionyc Industries, a London based urban design & branding studio recognized his talent & hired him the day after his graduation. With his foot in the door, David began his career bright eyed & bushy tailed, determined to make his mark on the industry. It was here he truly crafted his style, working on logos, branding, licensing, apparel, storyboards, packaging, websites, with regular tea runs thrown in too. He won pitches, he met clients and he got noticed. Later that year David was head hunted by post production house Concise Group Ltd. While there he learned visual effects, editing & animation, producing broadcast title sequences, events videos & commercials. With this strong background in design & video production David moved effortlessly into the highly competitive world of freelancing. Now his own boss, the one-man-band worked for marketing firms, design studios & animation companies, taking him to Australia, Singapore, Vietnam & Hong Kong. It was in Hong Kong that he teamed up with Italian director Michelle Orlando & creative director William Budden to found motion graphics company BUD ON Motion. specializing in corporate video productions. Their clients included: HSBC, Standard Chartered, P&G, Red Bull, CLSA & Bank of America. Armed with only his laptop & an eye for detail, David now spends his free time traveling South East Asia, designing from a hammock he shares with his cat, Simon. He still hasn't decided what he'd like to be when he grows up.
