My combination of an academic and creative background makes me a unique candidate for this position and I believe it gives me the energy and flair others lack.

I have learned the Adobe Creative Suite programs very quickly and I expect to continue to develop as a graphic designer indefinitely. My freelance portfolio shows my flexibility with working with a variety of completely different styles of designs. I've also had a lot of experience with PowerPoint, Excel and Word having worked with them throughout different stages of education.

I would say the best example of me enjoying a challenge was when a couple of weeks into As Maths I was graded a U, but through 2 years of hard work I left college with an A in A level maths, which I'd class as my proudest achievement.

I feel I am equally strong working in a team or alone. In my final year of university I had on average half an hour's contact time a week, putting a lot of responsibility on us as students to motivate ourselves and work well independently. In a situation where others might have become lethargic and indifferent with their projects, I enjoyed the responsibility of being my own motivator due to my passion for my work.

I enjoy a variety of sports including jogging, football, tennis, kayaking, and weight lifting. I like to cook regularly and find adapting recipes particularly satisfying. I am quickly learning to code in HTML & CSS in my free time as I expect it to be very handy in graphic design. I have had a full clean British driving license since September 2013. I love being flexible with my art having started with 3-D Art at A level then focusing on photography and painting while doing a Fine Art degree at Aberystwyth University. I've had experience working with the CMS "Terminal Four" during my position working as an exhibition coordinator at Aberystwyth University.

A two and a half year project that started as a hobby but that I actually ended up using my final university exhibition is Solargraphy (Using pin hole cameras pointed at the sky for exposures that last weeks or even up to a year). As part of my exhibition I designed and published a book () containing a selection of my images and a guide to making your own Solargraphy cameras.

An example of my fast and under pressure graphic design would be a challenge I set for myself to make an imaginary sports brand in one day without any prior work on it. (.

I pride myself on my attention to detail and pushing myself to improve. I am a hard worker, I set myself high goals, and I've been told that I'm persistent. I look forward to moving to a new area and working in a creative environment with likeminded co-workers.
