About me

David Petrucci was born on the 11 June 1978 in Rome. At the age of 13 he began to study Art at the "3' Liceo Artistico" of Rome, where his father Vincenzo Petrucci (an award winning Italian Artist) teaches "Art and sculpture". Music was his only vocation until the age of 17, when joining a "Cinema and Publicity" course he realised he wanted to be a Filmmaker. He moved to London where his real studies began. He attended many courses and mastered the art of "Low-budget Film making", writing, shooting, directing and editing his own movies and also composing and performing their scores. Within a few years David Petrucci managed (while working as video editor in London and at Pinewood Studios as designer for Gerry Andersons' "Captain Scarlet") to bring to life a number of short movies and music videos, which were selected by respected Film Festivals and broadcasted. "Giuda" (18 mins - 2006), which he created almost entirely alone over a very short period of time with a budget of 5 pounds. Throughout his career David Petrucci has often been supported by well-known actors who, appreciating his style and determination, happily contributed to his projects.
