RE: - Interior Designer

Please accept this letter and a copy of my CV, for the position of Junior Technician within your organisation.

Since graduating from the London Guildhall University, where I gained a BA Hons in Interior Design I have had some seven years interior design experience, working both in England and Melbourne, Australia.

The majority of my work has been spent upon residential projects, with projects ranging from total redevelopment of properties to singular designs for kitchens, bathrooms, etc. Though not as extensive I do have commercial experience and recently designed a hair salon in Brighton city centre.

I have been responsible for attending client briefings, undertaking site surveys, producing A1 plans/elevations/sections, the construction of sample boards, sourcing materials and finishes, preparing schedules/specifications and dealing with clients, contractors and suppliers. As well as having extensive AutoCAD experience I have good administrative skills, Word and Excel.

My career to date has given me a good experience of dealing with a wide and varied range of people and I am able to work either alone or as part of a team. From skills gathered over the years I believe I am able to deal with the daily challenges involved in working in an organisation such as yours.

I have a personal discipline, am able to meet deadlines, am detailed and through and am familiar with long hours, hard work, problem solving, dealing with situations as and when they arise.
