About me

Hello, my name is David Callow, I'm currently in the final stages of my degree here at the Arts Institute at Bournemouth, I have spent the last two years producing a consistant high standard of work and recieving a 1st class honors project after project consecutively. I see my style of working largely collage based, I strive for an eclectic gathering of drawing, photomontage, painting and sculptural elements, I am interested in how the reader interprets an image, this study of visual language remains the basis of my working progress and assures consideration of the viewer in all my work. Besides from my success on the course i have taken it upon myself to get involved in graduate animations over the past two years, and currently contributing editorial Illustration to a fashion magazine soon to be availible at London Fashion week. I am also contributing to an issue of First Point magazine summer 2006. I am technically apt in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe After Effects, I have experience in most other adobe programs. As an Illustrator I cannot only produce still images, i can also produce animations, Speaking of which a recent animation was shown at "Future Shorts" (a bournemouth based short films festival) and has been entered into V&A Student of the year competition. I have pride in what i do, i am determined to continue to produce at a high level, and i am responcible for carrying out projects from brief to completion.
