About me
I've blended a career in both scripted and unscripted content, yet I maintain the one common thread that is at my heart... storytelling. Whether to escape, inform, or make positive changes, it all circles around how we connect to characters and stories. This is the core value of my company Shady Tree Films.
In scripted, I've directed, written, and produced the horror feature "Soul To Keep," showcasing an ensemble cast that includes a Deaf character. The film is currently in sales. My writing partner, David Wagner (Van Wilder, Girl Next Door), and I are writing a feature for Crackle, and have several more scripts in various stages of development and pre-production ranging from rated-R comedies, to thrillers to faith-based.
I developed a Script Analysis tool called "Script Peek" that helps to evaluate script strengths and weaknesses in the marketplace. I continue to use this for many clients in the Script Consulting space.
Previous to the horror, I wrote, produced, and directed the multi-award-winning short thriller "Hope's Portal" which splits the screen 3-ways. Additionally, I produced the multi-award winning short, "Alienated" starring Vincent Pastore (The Sopranos).
In unscripted, I continue to develop hi-concept projects for my relationships at major cablers and streaming channels. From game shows, to prank shows to paranormal investigation, my partners and I have an endless well of fully-developed show formats. Previously, I oversaw production and created programming for 3 High Definition channels for Rainbow Media, as well as developed and was an executive in charge of pilots and presentations for VH1.
