About me
As the full-time designer I produce artwork for our many blue-chip clients, including the Royal Opera House (programmes and posters), the British Museum (invites and exhibit flyers), the Institute of Highways (information booklets) and Primesight Limited (point- of-sale products). I then impose the job ready for printing, check separations and alter artwork to suit our set-up before sending out for film or ripping to our own DPM plate-making machine.
I have produced artwork for our extensive customer base book publishers, including Thames and Hudson, Halban Publications, Nicholas Brealey and Aurum Press. For Aurum I have designed and typeset whole books, as well as designing covers and picture sections.
I have worked closely with the staff of Aurum Press to design and produce proofs and samples for the sales department, brochures and promotional material for the international book fairs and the publicity department. Some of the most important work I do for Aurum Press is to check and debug complex digital artwork supplied by external designers, which can involve intricate Photoshop work, cleaning up and manipulating Images, and converting digital files from publishers in the US and Australia for UK production. The books I have designed and typeset have been distributed internationally, sold to book clubs and published in conjunction with the Guardian Newspaper.
