I am writing to express an interest in your listing for a Web Designer, posted at Creativepool.co.uk and I am very excited by this opportunity to apply.

My last position was the sole web designer in the Wellington branch of Ogilvy New Zealand for over two and a half years. I have completed a bachelor's degree in visual communications design, majoring in digital interactivity. I have been working in the industry for almost six years, but have been playing in the digital technology space over thirteen. I have a strong interest in information architecture and have had the opportunity to explore and practice this field while working for Ogilvy Advertising.

My key responsibilities at Ogilvy have been extensive. I have been charged with designing, developing and producing web tiles, flash banners, HTML emails and micro-sites while paying particular attention to strict brand guidelines and client objectives. I have compiled content into models and wireframes to help realize which type of product or execution is appropriate to develop and therefore achieve clients goals quickly and efficiently. When development has been external, I have managed teams and workflow to maintain brand, design and animation continuity while working on in-house studio work, often in a self directed capacity.

I have been working with a multi-disciplined media team between the Ogilvy offices in Wellington and Auckland, in New Zealand. During this time, I have received rich, up-to-date resources of what is currently available in online technology, as well as a heads-up on what will soon be achievable to produce and be viewable by the general public on current web technology.
