About me

A self confessed fresh air and design addict, Darrell is the Global Head of Cultural Strategy at Havas. With over a decade of experience working in digital across Asia he has been based in Tokyo for the last 19 years and has worked across the region in Korea, Hong Kong, China and Singapore. Over the course of his work Darrell has driven social and digital strategy for the Japanese government as well as a number of top tier international brands including Nike, Nissan, Muji, BMW, GSK, Harley Davidson and Unilever amongst others.

Infectiously passionate about finding new ways for brands to engage with their communities and pushing the boundaries of what is possible across digital platforms, Darrell takes a creative and consumer centric approach to his work straddling the line between East meets West.

He has been involved in projects such as the worlds first consumer facing VR experience for Nissan, Tokyo 2020 connected city project, and the world's first fully interactive "digital basket ball court" for Nike.
