Growing up D'Arcy always had a pencil in his hand, always drawing everything he saw, having a passion for the arts, it became an obsession that continued throughout his life, while working in his first graphic design post he developed his MAC skills moving from the traditional art form to the digital world.
Having a love for music it was only natural for him to enter into the music industry designing for international music / entertainment companies. He was responsible for buying in reprographics within budget guidelines, commissioning outside design houses and illustrators and trafficking workload, handling all design and artwork and print for advertising requirements.
Able to generate creative ideas in response to clients briefs, work at a fast pace with in tight deadlines and see projects through from initial concept to print-ready artwork. D'Arcy can communicate clearly and effectively with clients face-to face and have a good understanding of the repro / print production processes. He has the ability to manage, motivate and inspire a team to deliver superb creative work under tight deadlines. A creative with fantastic ideas, great design skills and not afraid to challenge clients' expectations. D'Arcy enjoys working on a huge variety of briefs and have the relevant MAC skills to take their ideas to full visuals.
Having now over fifteen years relevant experience working in busy design studios within a highly competitive commercial environment. Successfully applying skills acquired to several major blue chip client projects in the consumer, retail and business-to-business sectors, responsible for the creative output of a series of design and commercial projects for established companies and originations' such as Thomson multimedia, Ferguson, Comet Group PLC., Carlton International, Harrods, Kvaerner, BBC, Nike. Housing Associations, Crossways Sixth form college, Mobo Awards, Spirit of London Awards and London Borough of Hackney.
While running his own Limited company he was involved in management, accounts, client lassoing, project management, design, branding and marketing. He has also undertaken work of a varied nature for local companies and local council authorities on a freelance basis working with community youth training schemes to promote awareness of the power of graphic design for young people, this lead to D'Arcy pursuing a career within the teaching sector but now feels that his true calling is in creative design sector and now wishes to offer his skills and wealth of experience to a progressive agency where he can continue his career in the field he loves.
