Daniel McDermott is an Irish composer, guitarist, pianist and producer. His output includes albums, remixes and modern classical pieces. He studied in Queens University Belfast, Dundalk Institute of Technology and Trinity College Dublin. His music fuses elements of jazz, classical, world, minimal techno and electronica. He has achieved one scholarship in composition and has attended composition masterclasses under Donnacha Dennehy and Simon Bainbridge. His classical music has been selected by the Crash Ensemble for Free State 7, Free State 9 and awards include the IMRO music award. He has released three electronica albums; his third "The Lullaby Wars" was released on :psychonavigationrecords/ His music has also been performed by world renowned Oud virtuoso Marina Toschich, the Fidelio trio, The Crash ensemble, Paul Roe, Plane Dukes Rahman trio, Maire Carroll, New Dublin Voices and pianist Ian Buckle.
