About me

I am an experienced surface designer & trend predictor for fashion and interiors expected to graduate from the University of Huddersfield July 2012 with a BAs(Hons). During my time at Huddersfield I have worked along side world renowned companies such as Ege Carpets, H&R Johnson Tiles, Tektura, Leeuvenburg Fineer and also Jacaranda Carpets where I produced a brochure containing my designs, One of which is being sold internationally. I exhibited my rug at the 100% Design Show in London where I was able to speak to many people within my field. I have also undertaken a placement year at Marks & Spencers HQ starting in the menswear design department going onto colour management, womenswear and the home design department. During my internship I worked in Marks & Spencers Flagship store in Marble Arch within the childrens department, I found this gave me a real insight into the product life cycle starting from initial research and trends going onto designing and finally being sold to the consumers. I'd like to be able to work within a creative enviroment where I can offer great communication skills, and put all my experience to good use with an eye to developing them further.
