About me

Good afternoon,

I am writing to apply for the role of Picture Researcher at John Brown, as advertised on creativepool.co.uk.

My current position is Picture Editor at HarperCollins Publishers, where I work across all divisions of the company to source and clear a highly diverse range of imagery for both print and digital formats. Over the past four years I have built up an extensive contact book of photographers, agencies and image suppliers and would bring my close working relationship with these contacts, along with my fierce negotiation skills, to the role of Picture Researcher.

I have experience assisting on photo-shoots, a great love of photography, and understand just how key the right imagery is to the success of a product. Moreover, I am exceptionally organised, with control over the HarperCollins Picture Research budget, am experienced at dealing with departmental administration and with ever-changing schedules and changes to briefs. I pride myself on being flexible and staying calm under pressure while constantly looking for new approaches and solutions to enable a smoother running picture department.
