About me

I consider myself a hard working, dedicated and self-motivated, always looking to get the most out of whatever job or task I've been given. My background is mainly in animation, Video Arts and Illustration, however I am very interested into moving into filmmaking, videography and cinematography. I have an attention to detail and enjoy being hands on at all stages of production, particularly camera work where I spend a great amount of time concerning the framing and composition of image for maximum effect. Given my background in illustration and animation I have developed excellent planning skills and am able to storyboard and illustrate ideas in advance making me able to see through project to the end at all stages of production and the more fine art context of my previous work gives me a broad and refreshing repertoire of techniques at my disposal to respond to given material and requirements.

I have been working with video for the last 3 years within the context of my degree both in the context of brief led projects as well as my own self directed practice have found that I immensely enjoy working with and learning how to use new equipment. I'm interested in not only the opportunity to work within a video context but also to have to chance to improve in order to further my own artistic practice as well as my professional work.

I am very technically minded and am competent with a range of production software as well as adobe software and both OSX and Windows operating systems. I have a good enough working knowledge of video standards to be able quickly pick up programs I am unfamiliar with as well as learn and adapt in order to fulfil a required task.

I am comfortable working in small teams or independently being able to self manage my time and look at what needs to be done objectively and planning in the most efficient time schedule to complete given tasks.

Skills

As an animator I mainly work with After Effects, Stopmotion and some hand drawn. However I am also a videographer and editor capleable at working at all levels of production and post production., I can turn my hand to most camera equipment but am most familliar Sony Z1 and Z7s, JVC Pro and Cannon and Nickon DSLRs and know how to work with both tape and tapeless workflows, I am also competant with the following software:, After Effects, Premier, Adobe Encore, In Design, Photoshop, DVD studio Pro, Dragon Frame, Sound Track Pro and Final Cut Pro
