About me

My name is Daniel and I am a Motion Graphic Artist with over 15 years of experience in digital art, motion design, and 3D animation. I specialize in creating visually compelling content that blends technical precision with emotional storytelling.

My creative journey began in 2004 with graphic design for web and print. As a self-taught artist, I spent the first six years exploring design principles, typography, and visual communication. During this time, I also became curious about 3D software and animation, slowly integrating them into my skillset.

In 2010, I fully shifted my focus to motion design and visual effects. I started working with Adobe After Effects, which became the cornerstone of my motion graphics workflow. Over time, I added Cinema 4D and Octane Render to my toolkit, enabling me to produce high-quality 3D animations, atmospheric visual metaphors, and cinematic compositions. I've collaborated on projects ranging from short loops to full-length productions.

In 2013, I had the opportunity to work at Platige Image, one of the most respected visual effects studios in Europe. As an assistant in an international 3D animated production (30-minute film), I gained hands-on experience with high-end pipelines and workflows. Collaborating with directors, producers, and senior artists gave me valuable insights into how large-scale productions are structured and executed—from concept through rendering.

From 2014 onward, I joined Fireflies Films, where I expanded into video production. I operated cameras, designed lighting setups on set, and took responsibility for both the art direction and post-production VFX. This time on set taught me how to work flexibly in live environments and deepened my understanding of visual narrative and cinematography. These insights directly influenced my approach to motion graphics, giving my work more depth and texture.

In recent years, I've been working on high-profile international productions, delivering animations for documentary series and films for National Geographic, Channel 4 (UK), and Netflix. These projects require a balance of storytelling, aesthetic detail, and strict technical accuracy—especially when animating data, maps, timelines, reconstructions, or abstract representations of complex topics. My role includes everything from concept development and animatic building to final 3D rendering and compositing.

Alongside commissioned work, I run a long-standing freelance practice, publishing animations and motion loops on stock platforms like Envato (VideoHive and Elements), Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, and iStock under the pseudonyms CoolMotion and DanyMotion. My portfolio includes 2D and 3D animated loops, screensavers, visualizers, and ambient backgrounds, many of which have gained popularity on YouTube and Zedge. Some of my looped wallpapers have reached hundreds of thousands of views, and are often featured as visual backdrops for music or digital installations.

I've worked with a variety of clients across Europe and the UK, often on remote basis, using both desktop and mobile workstations. I can work independently or as part of a team, and I'm experienced in integrating my work into larger pipelines and collaborating through online platforms.

My skills include:
- Motion Design & Compositing (Adobe After Effects)
- 3D Animation & Rendering (Cinema 4D with Octane Render)
- Visual FX, matte painting, rotoscoping, and simulations
- Graphic Design (Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Photography and basic cinematography
- Creative direction and storytelling through visuals

What sets my work apart is the fusion of aesthetic sensitivity with a structured, reliable approach to production. I treat each project as a unique visual language that should not only look good but feel right—whether it's a short loop for music, a data animation for a documentary, or a longer cinematic sequence. I thrive in creative environments where flexibility, clarity of communication, and passion for craft are valued.

I'm based in Poland but collaborate internationally. I'm fluent in English, work across time zones, and enjoy adapting to new workflows and cultural contexts. Whether the project calls for precision, atmosphere, or visual impact—I'm always eager to contribute with care, focus, and curiosity.
