About me
Dear Sir/Madam
Please find attached a copy of my CV (with folio examples) in connection with my application for the Creative Artworker vacancy advertised on the creative pool website.
I now feel it's time to move on in my career and I would love to work on a broad spectrum of work for Ad Agency clients in your internal studio.
I do possess meticulous attention to detail and have a keen creative bias, evidence of which can be seen in my portfolio.
I am currently working at Woodmansterne Publications (where I have been for nearly 7 years) as a Creative Artworker/Designer.
Woodmansterne publish high-end greetings cards and, in addition to artworking these, I have been integral in creating the look and feel of new branded card ranges (typography, colour, layout and logo design).
I have experience of setting up artwork with various finishes, from Flitter varnish and Spot UV to Gold, Silver and Pearlescent foils and I am very adept at colour correcting and retouching photographic imagery for photography card ranges using my technical proficiency in Photoshop.
I also design and art-work brochures, catalogues and advertorials for product ranges in trade journals and various point of sale material, card engineering for packaging and label design being some examples.
In addition to having great Photoshop skills I'm not bad at digital painting either, both in Photoshop and on my iPad. I have examples of this which I would be happy to email you (or show you should you invite me in for interview) but I can't supply this in my application via Creative Pool as there is a CV size limit of 2mb.
In addition to producing high quality artwork in the studio I have been regularly praised for sharing my technical knowledge and working methods within the team and being very sociable and approachable.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Daniel Reaney
