Dear Sir/Madam,

I am currently Editor and Engineering Technical Operator at Chello Zone. I Edit with Final Cut Pro delivery content for transmission to channels including CBS, Food Network and ESPN on programming such as WWE, CSI Miami and Cheers. I am responsible for all file conversions and compressions for each individual client. I have to be efficient with the use of Episode Engine, Final Cut Pro, Flip Factory and our transmission scheduling software; 'Provys'. I have mapped and created our file and archive system for the department across all areas including the FTP, Isilon, Signiant and XSAN servers.

Whilst working as Edit Suite Manager for Positive Image, an online media agency, I was designing and editing corporate sales material for mobile device, web stream, & conference use. Clients included Vodafone, Verizon, NEXT, ComputaCenter, Volvo, Bupa, RICOH, Targus & OKI. I was editing with Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, After Effects, and Photoshop, as well as DVD Authoring, and keeping up to date with the latest software and codecs available, designed for specific devices. It was my responsibility to keep up to date with all file compression and conversion formats in order to be able to provide for any format, on any device.

I've managed 3 editors and 4 edit suites, (2x FCP and 2x AVID Media Composer). I had many projects with tight deadlines and as Edit Suite Manager, I've had to schedule the projects accordingly, and see that the product is passed on smoothly and ready for release/Live broadcast date.

I have systematically changed processes within the department including methods of 'Quality Control', and maintenance and file management of all SD/HD material on the edit suites within the tape and tapeless environment.

I have previously edited material for Sony Entertainment Television, and BBC World Service whilst freelancing at Technicolor using Avid Media Composer. I have had extensive experience on both platforms; FCP and Avid.
