About me

Dear Sir/Madam

I am a highly motivated and energetic Design graduate, organized and
comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Having
worked freelance for several years as a designer, I am now seeking an
opportunity to work full-time as a Graphic Designer. When given such an
opportunity, I will work hard and fast, to learn all that is needed
within that position.

My educational background should stand me in good stead for such a
position as I have accumulated many years of experience in a number of
aspects of design from school, through college and university,
attending courses such as graphic design, product design, art, and also
cad design and marketing. Many of the skills I learnt I took forward to
freelance work completing a number of commissions from a many of local
and national companies.

Where as some of these jobs have been Cad design projects using
software such as AutoCAD and Rhino 3D, the majority of my clients have
required a graphic designer to create company literature such as
brochures, posters, flyers, invitations, business cards, as well as
corporate logo design and web design. All of the freelance projects I
have headed up have been through word of mouth and recommendations,
with some clients coming back on many occasions with more work.

Some skills I have picked up from my years as a freelance designer
are how to work closely and comfortably with a client, portray my
initial concepts in a clear and concise way and present the final
project in a professional and confidant manor.

Many personal traits that I apply to every aspect of my work life are
determination and willing to succeed, hard work and a strict attention
to detail, all of which I would bring to any company and apply to every
aspect of the role.

I am both PC and Mac literate and fluent in all Adobe Photoshop
packages (up to CS4), also Illustrator, In-Design, Dreamweaver, Flash
Catalyst and I am currently in the process of learning Flash. Other
software I am trained in are AutoCAD (up to 2009), Rhino 3D, Promap and
all Microsoft office packages.
