About me

My interest in graphic design was clear from GCSE level where I had my first experience working in a newspaper design office in 1999. This first taste led me to take an Art Foundation specialising in graphics at Warwickshire college.

I furthered my education by studying for 3 years at the University of Lincoln where I took Graphic Design Ba (hons). This course was fantastically varied, offering me opportunities to become very experienced in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Freehand, Flash, Dreamweaver and Quicktime. It also gave me the opportunity to work with such fantastic professional designers as Martin Lambie-Nairn, John Hegarty, John Dowling (ex-Frost employee) and Phil Baines.

During my degree I studied for qualification for ISTD, which has taught me the importance of backup work and heavy research before tackling a brief.

I have also entered several competitions including YCN, D & AD, Creative Rose and RSA. These competitions taught me the importance of deadlines and also gave me great opportunities to get creative without the boundaries of clients and tight budgets.

I have done some private work for Dogma bars including promotional material for parties and specialist promotional nights. I was also part of the team who designed the identity for our end of year degree show, undertaking all of the photography and direction of of the invites.

I am also currently developing a web site for presentation of a group of designers' work who have recently graduated.
