Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my interest in the position of a graduate sales administrator working within your organisation as advertised on creativepool.co.uk on the 6th of July. As a recent graduate who is passionate about pursuing a career in the visual effects industry I am confident that I have the skills required for this role and am interested in the chance to progress into other areas of your business. I am a highly motivated, hardworking, fast learner with a passion for exciting, new challenges and thrive under pressure. While at University, I have demonstrated problem-solving, organisation and leadership skills whilst working on group and individual projects to achieve outstanding results and meet deadlines without having to sacrifice production quality and attention to details.

During March and April of this year, I supervised a team of students to produce a rock music video with 3D animated shots and promotional graphics which were highly commended by the client. This project required me to use my initiative to solve problems and be willing to commit to working flexible hours to ensure that high quality products were delivered on time.

A summary of my technical skills include:

An understanding of the production pipeline for visual effects.

Autodesk Maya, specialising in modelling and animation with a general overview of rigging, texturing and rendering (3 years+).

Adobe Flash, Photoshop, After Effects, Fireworks, Audition, Bridge and Premiere Pro (4 years).

Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Outlook, Publisher and FrontPage (9 years +).

Vicon Blade with T20 camera set-up and Autodesk Motionbuilder (6 months).

Final Cut Pro video editing software (1 year).

Some experience with Autodesk Max and the Mac OS.
