About me

I am a graduate of the Multimedia Production course at Nottingham Trent University. For the past four and a half years I have worked as a Production Artist with the Nottingham Post Media Group. Due to their relocation of ad-services work overseas, I have unfortunately been made redundant from the 31st July 2012. I have also been involved in many freelance design projects within the last 7 years. I have gained valuable experience designing advertising, marketing material, promotional work and re-branding. Specific items include advertisements, logos, leaflets, brochures, web sites web banners and posters. I am proficient with industry standard software applications (Adobe CS5.5 & Microsoft Office suite). I also have a working knowledge of pre-flight files, digital media and pre-press.

I am a creative, reliable and hardworking designer. I take great pride in the work I create and always strive to deliver an effective, focused and complete product that fits my client's needs and goals. I demonstrate a strong initiative for working on my own whilst also being a productive and supportive member of any team. I work well with clients and colleagues and consider myself a strong communicator and listener. My career goals are to continue to learn and grow as a designer while utilising my creativity, knowledge, education and interpersonal skills to benefit my employer.

PC and Mac literate., I am proficient in industry standard design and media production software applications; Adobe CS 5.5 InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, Premiere & After Effects. , Industry Standard Editing & Sound Recording Software; Avid Pro-Tools & Final Cut Pro, Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint & Excel, I am a creative and efficient Graphic Designer specialising in Print, Branding, Typography and Digital Media., During my time at Northcliffe Media, I have been promoted from DTP Operator to Production Artist / Digital Designer., I have excellent communication skills, I am a strong presenter, communicator and listener., I demonstrate a strong initiative for working on my own whilst also being a productive and supportive member, of any team., I am able to work to strict deadlines and manage my time effectively under pressure
