About me
Statement.
I am an enthusiastic and hard working designer with a good grounding in various disciplines of design gained through my education and experience so far having studied as a product designer at university. Through projects I have completed I have touched on disciplines such as interface design, through graphics to product/industrial design. My skill set reflects this, a mix of both creative and technical elements. I am an avid sketcher and work hard on my 2D visual work and feel this is amongst my strengths along with idea generation and a good eye for form. I have in depth knowledge of adobe illustrator of which I have received high acclaim from my tutors and fellow students. Within design the thing I am mostly interested in is user centred design and problem solving but other industries that interest me are such things as special effects and model making as I am an avid model maker and believe my 3D work is to a high standard.
Personality and General Interests.
I'm easy going and great to get on with. I've got a good sense of humour and I am friendly and approachable. I can deal well with situations I face and I'm a good problem solver. With the jobs I have had I feel they have made me a more confident worker and more able to deal with any customers or problems that I might have to face.
I have many interests which include art and design. Design is a thing that influences my creativity most and that's why I chose to do a product design degree at university. I have a love for tattoos but not the money to afford all that I'd like it's an expensive hobby. I'm a huge fan of sports mainly football, bike riding and I am a big motor sports fan. I ride BMX and fixed gears bikes and to be honest I can't get enough of the stuff. I also really enjoy music and going to gigs with friends and on nights out.
Skills
Throughout the course of my degree I developed a range of design skills and I am competent to a high standard in: idea generation and sketch development; Adobe photoshop and Illustrator, Solidworks modeling and creating physical models of my design ideas in the workshop utilising workshop machinery., Although I am highly competent in all areas of design, the places where I feel my strength's lie are in my problem solving and idea generation but also in my sketch and illustrator work.
