I would like to express my interest in the position of Junior Digital Photographer as posted on your website. For the past 5 years I have worked as a digital photographer in the fashion and beauty sectors, which has involved preparing and organising a studio space, setting up correct and consistent lighting, ensuring that all photographic equipment is functioning correctly, and being responsible for the care and upkeep of all studio equipment, props and supplies following each shoot.

As a digital photographer, my key role is to produce consistently high quality and beautiful images to clients specifications. I have a strong working knowledge of lighting and how to create correctly exposed and colour consistent images. I also liaise and work alongside teams of stylists and makeup and hair artists, for which communication and teamwork skills have been vital in order to ensure correct props and styling is used. I enjoy working creatively as a photographer using my own initiative to incorporate new ideas, and I am also very confident adhering to specification guidelines requiring consistency and an eye for detail. A key aspect of my current role is also to ensure work is completed to the clients deadlines, which often means working on several projects simultaneously and under pressure.

I have a high technical proficiency in computer software such as Photoshop CS4, Capture One andPhocus, well versed in cropping and processing images, ensuring colour consistency, preparing images for the internet and quality assuring all images. I also have excellent IT and keyboard skills having extensively used computer packages such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher and Adobe packages like InDesign, Dreamweaver and Illustrator.

I believe my experience in studio management and digital photography combined with my technical ability would make me well suited to the role of Junior Digital Photographer and I would relish the opportunity to work for a company as prestigious as NET-A-PORTER.
