About me
I am shortly to finish my BTEC
National Diploma in Graphic Design at Warwickshire College and I am
keen to enter the workplace to begin to utilise and hone the skills I
have learnt.
I am looking for a position
where I can be a useful member of a team and add my own skills and
ideas to enhance the work of the company. I am confident that with my
attitude and skills I can quickly become a productive member of any
team I join. I am also aware that I will need to gain further
experience which is why I am looking for a junior role to begin
with.
During the course and whilst
completing my A levels I have acquired experience in both Graphic
Design and in Business. I have worked part time throughout my A levels
and College course and I believe this has instilled in me a good work
ethic.
During my Diploma course I
have completed projects that have shown me how to use the design
process in a real life practical context, from initial research and the
pooling of ideas, to problem solving, arriving at the best solution and
promotion/marketing of a product. It has shown me the process that a
real design business would work through to achieve the best solution
for the client. I completed a live brief to redesign an integrated farm
management wheel for the company ‘Linking Environment And
Farming' (Leaf). This gave me experience of working to a set time
schedule and creating something for an established company who gave
positive and constructive feedback after the brief was
complete.
I have many other interests in
my life in addition to design. I enjoy playing sports such as football,
tennis, and golf and I have played football for a team. I also get
pleasure from watching films and listening to music, from folk artist
Bob Dylan to rap artist Notorious B.I.G.
I have a full clean driving
licence, which has widened my options for travel.
My experience through work and
college has convinced me that my future lies within the graphic design
field and has given me a definite goal to work towards.
